Savin Engineers performed design, shop drawing review and construction inspection services for all structural aspects of a 1,400 square foot disinfection facility at the Yonkers Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yonkers, NY.

Reinforced concrete design included mini piles, grade beam foundation, floor slab, chemical containment pit and miscellaneous tank and equipment pads. All reinforced concrete design utilized lightweight concrete to minimize loading on existing structures which supported part of the building. Reinforced concrete design was performed in accordance with American Concrete Institute Codes, ACI 318 – Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and ACI 350 – Concrete Sanitary Engineering Structures.

Structural steel design included roof framing and grating.
