The New England Thruway, one of the most heavily traveled North-South arteries in the Northeast is being rehabilitated by the NYS Thruway Authority. This project involves a five mile section beginning just North of the New Rochelle toll plaza. Work includes widening, paving, new median barriers, bridge replacement, drainage improvements, utility relocation, and extensive maintenance of traffic.

Construction Administration services provided by Savin include daily inspection of contractor work activities for compliance with contract documents, preparation of inspector’s daily reports (IDRs), computation of quantities for unit price items, on-site material testing such as concrete slump and air-entrainment tests, documentation of work progress with diagrams, photos or both, record keeping in accordance with MURK and review of contractor claims. Savin personnel also coordinate flagging operations with Metro-North railroad for construction activities nearby active tracks.
